When browsing for a track for this release, I came across this one. A track where I was experimenting with a sort of muffled and “bit crunched” voice. While working on the track, I started reflecting on what I was doing, because I had a sort of “overwhelming” feeling in my head. That feeling kept growing and naturally more voice like samples were added, because ….. this is actually how I would picture “the inside of my head”. All the ideas I am constantly getting, all the little voices, speaking to me, feeding me with all kinds of ideas.

In the beginning of the release phase I was working towards calling the track “the voices in my head” or “little voices”, but I did find both too strong, psychological and maybe also a bit too weird. Instead I decided to keep it very simple and just call it “voices”. However, the track does picture both and it is just my idea to call it that, because that is how I picture this sort of “situation”. As always, it is up to the listeners to have their own experience and translate it the way they see it, and only if they want to.

The track as such is based on a sketch created as part of the idea that “Circles” would be a 2 track single. In the end “Circles” ended up as a one long, single track. As such, this track does not really have any relation to “Circles”. The track consists of 32 layers / channels of sounds, atmospheres and samples (around 1/3 is pure samples). 

In short, it is a brief journey through my “head” and “amorphous mind”.
